Review:
This book surprised me from start to finish, a task that is not an easy thing to accomplish these days.
When I first picked this book up, I was disappointed, and as my eyes scrolled along the text I figured I would end up skimming pages, it would be the same old paranormal romance deal. Boy was I wrong.
Rose elicits a variety of emotion as we are taken on a roller coaster ride through the entire book.
I love that it was from a P.O.V. not often explored, and while it took away some of the suspense of thing's it was still an interesting take that not to many author's are willing to risk. Obviously it paid off.
The main character had it all and I was so sure that I would not be a fan of him for that reason, I was so sure I would be able to predict his every movement and thus become bored with a book that I was going to have to force my way through. Luckily that was not the case as each of his actions left me stunned at the way the author was taking things.
So, for a world full of vivid imagination and magnificent detail I would recommend this book.

Maybe I should take another look at this. I read the first chapter and it was 1980 and inasmuch as I love that decade, I didn't connect with he story immediately so I took a pass. A lot of you guys loved this, time to take a closer look.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing when I started reading it. But it gets much better as you push through it.
