Burnt Offerings By Laurell K. Hamilton (Anita Blake #7)

\

Synopsis:
"You can't trust anyone who sleeps with the monsters."

That's what I've always said. That's what I've always believed. But now I'm the one sharing a bed with the Master Vampire of the City. Me, Anita Blake. The woman the vampires call the Executioner. From part of the solution, I've become part of the problem. So it hits close to home when an arsonist begins to target vampire-owned businesses all over town -- an arsonist who seems to want to destroy more than just property. It's the monsters who are in danger now. And it's up the the Executioner to save them from the inferno...
Review:
Fire can be a beautiful and deadly thing, Anita knows this especially as she has to deal with figuring out the who's and why's of the fire bugs bombing the city.
We get a little bit of a teaser with Asher in this book, and personally ,while he might not have been my favorite of men on her dance card, I have always felt so sad for him. Asher just seems so lost and alone, in constant need of assurance that he is beautiful and not to be tossed aside because of his scars.
We are also introduce to Nathaniel. Who is one of my favorite men in Anita's life. I love the wereleopards in general, they are actually my favorite lycanthrope in the series.
The council is in town and we get to meet allot of big bad vampires that are the things of nightmares, to the point even Jean Claude is scared, and I will say their power is impressive.
I think my favorite power came from Warrick, it was a complete shocker and the absolute joy that came from him was just priceless.
To find out the who done it's, meet the new faces popping up in Anita's life and the flames that ignite the passion in this fiery woman's heart grab a book and tune in.

Favorite character:
Jason, he is such a sweet flirt.

Rating:
5 Ravens
