Blue Moon Review by Alyson Noel

Synopsis:  Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him. As Ever’s powers are increasing, Damen’s are fading—stricken by a mysterious illness that threatens his memory, his identity, his life.

Desperate to save him, Ever travels to the mystical dimension of Summerland, uncovering not only the secrets of Damen’s past—the brutal, tortured history he hoped to keep hidden—but also an ancient text revealing the workings of time. With the approaching blue moon heralding her only window for travel, Ever is forced to decide between turning back the clock and saving her family from the accident that claimed them—or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows weaker each day...
Borrowed from a Friend

Review:  So we are brought back to reincarnated love and the trouble that follows them through the ages. It just seems like everyone is out to get these two love birds. They are exactly as the blog is titled, Star-crossed.
I can't help but feel sorry for Ever when she realizedsed that she had been forgotten by the one person who means the most to her, her love. I know I would have been a complete and total wreck if my fiance forgot me in the time frame of just one passing day, and then proceeded to treat me the way Damen treated her. While I liked that it showed this other side to him, because everyone always has this side they hide from the other, it still was rather sad to read about.
I did like the twist the villain was able to pull off, for once there is no happy ending and while I am ever the romantic I have gotten tired of knowing how books or movies will end because they think everyone loves a happy ending.
I do think it will be interesting to see how they push through it though.
